The Wern Horse and Rider B&B |
|
We have welcomed riders and their horses to Wales at the Wern Horse and Rider Bed and Breakfast since 2005. We made a life style choice and changed from Neil working in London during the week to working together at home, in the garden and opening our house and other facilities to guests and their four footed friends. Offering super horse holidays has become our life. |

The Wern dates from around 1750 and we moved here in 1987. It definitely did not look then as it looks now. We have worked hard over the years to get both the house and the outside in good order and looking nice. The inside of the house has been reworked and offers very comfortable and cosy accommodation. Dinners are taken in the large farmhouse kitchen with our guests and outside our guests have a choice of sitting on the terrace or on a decked terrace adjacent to the little stream at the bottom of the garden. |

It is not just the humans who feel at home at our B&B, the horse facilities are if possible even better. 4 Roomy stables, the smallest being 12 x 12 and the largest 14 x 17 and several paddocks with grass tailored to the need of the horse, lush when required, but short for the plumper horse and all with plenty of shelter and either drinking troughs or stream. The paddocks all have electric fencing as well as hedges and/or stock fencing and are powered by a mains unit which can power 10 miles of fencing. If you need to separate your horse from another, we can easily subdivide a paddock. A large barn to bring your horse into for feeding and tacking up and ample storage for your tack, makes light work of normal chores. The paddocks are mucked out by us every day (in fact Neil is very good at it). |
